Joined the company in July 2005 to open a store in Bray, Co. Wicklow as the 25th store of a huge expansion project. After initial setup and successful implementation, i was called upon to revive flagging sales in one of our city centre stores. This was achieved by recruiting and developing a new store team in conjunction with members of the existing team, where we achieved all sales and kpi targets month by month.I was then asked to take the helm at our flagship store on Henry street in Dublin city centre. Here, not only did we manage to remove our nearest competitor, Game Uk, from the high street by offering consistently better customer service, we also broke all sales records within the company and achieving the best sales in Europe award in 2006. For three years in a row under my management, the store achieved best sales versus budget through the xmas period, 2006, 2007, 2008. Each year we reported sales in multi millions. In May 2009 the company asked me to head a new challenge in the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, Dublin. Here, our objective was to go head to head with Game Uk who had occupancy in the centre, unrivalled for 16 years. In an incredibly tough trading climate, we not only succeeded in winning over the Blanchardstown customers but removed our competitors operation in the centre completely. Our implementation of a "can do" and customer service focussed policy was a major factor here. The store also achieved best sales versus budget for the xmas period 2009/10.
