As Chair of the Real Estate and Finance Practice Group and a member of the firm's Executive Committee, I concentrate my practice in commercial real estate and mortgage banking. Past clients represented include a major national telecommunications company, developers, retailers, commercial lenders and mortgage bankers in a variety of real property transactions including acquisitions, sales, leasing, construction, development, title issues, zoning, mortgage financing and tax credit transactions. In addition, I have represented housing development fund corporations, developers and lenders in all aspects of affordable housing transactions, including Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits, Tax-exempt Bond Financing, Federal Housing Act HUD insured financing, development of assisted and independent living facilities, tax abatement and payment in lieu of tax agreements. I also oversee the firm's residential mortgage lending team, and provide value-added counsel to financial institutions regarding banking regulations and real property law. I am a two time recipient of The Daily Record's POWER 20 in Real Estate Law (2022) and (2023) and the Leader in the Law Award (2018). I have been named to the 2013-2024 editions of Best Lawyers in America®, and selected as a 2023, 2022, 2021, 2007-2010 Upstate New York Super Lawyer.
