Attending the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas on a basketball scholarship, Patrick graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He went on to teach and coach basketball and track in Mansfield, Louisiana.In 2000, after a five-year stint in education, Patrick entered into the medical profession as an Exercise Specialist at Willis Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport, working with cardiac rehabilitation patients setting up diet plans, workout routines and one-on-one personal training. His passion and love for coaching and helping people improve the quality of their lives through personal development led him into the sales arena, where he eventually assisted a statewide home health agency facilitate the opening and establishment of offices throughout North Louisiana. After a successful company launch, he assumed the role of Area Director of Business Development. After five successful years in homecare he had a desire to have ownership in a home health agency. He says when people ask him what he does his reply is “I get paid to help people” He went on to make that a reality in March of 2008 when he became a partner in the opening of STAT Home Health in Shreveport, LA. Patrick uses his tenacity and joy of helping others, along with his love of coaching and personal growth to lead his sales and marketing team of The Carpenter Health Network. “I truly enjoy helping others and coaching sales professionals to be the best they can be at their jobs and in their lives. My favorite quote is from Zig Ziglar … the best way in life to get what you want is to help enough people get what they want,” Durr says.
