Service Project Manager
After heading up the Service Division at LAN-TEL, I am excited to take on a newly created role that allows me to work independently on projects that move at a rapid pace and require creative, hands on problem solving. I handle a variety of small and mid-sized projects in the company's physical security and tel-data (IT) spheres, with a focus on fast deployment and a rapid beginning to completion schedule. The challenge of handling multiple projects in various disciplines is a wonderful opportunity to constantly expand my knowledge while employing timely and creative strategic thinking. My core responsibilities include:- Simultaneous and independent management of 15 - 20 small to mid-sized projects in the tel-data, security, and A/V disciplines. Once a bid is accepted by a client, my ownership of an assigned project begins and continues through the life of the project. This includes material procurement, manpower assignment, quality control, invoicing and close-out.- Prepare Change Order pricing for additional and updated work not included in original bid, and upon approval incorporate new pricing into projects.- Coordinate with internal departments such as procurement and operations for required manpower and material. Communicate clearly and promptly with external suppliers, subcontractors, partner vendors and clients to keep projects moving effectively toward completion.- Effectively implement Sage Timberline and IFS Core's "Tech Tool" platform to make project information readily available to technicians in the field and allow field information to flow seamlessly back to the office for future reference by the Service Division.- Daily use of MS Office Suite and QuoteWerks software.- Assist on service calls and field customer service and quote requests as needed.
Director Of Service
As the Director of Service, I bore ultimate responsibility for the successful coordination, execution, and billing of service work and rapid completion projects; the creation and supervision of Service Agreements and Software Service Agreements between LAN-TEL and our service customers; and the existence of an effective and progressive service center for the benefit of our customers. My division covered everything from the repairing a broken jack to installing entirely new tel-data and security infrastructures for office spaces, police departments, and apartment complexes. My core responsibilities included:- Supervision of two in-house service coordinators and service staff of approximately twenty field techs.- Worked closely with company's CEO, Vice President, and Director of Operations to identify department KPI's and meet department goals.- Quoted, tracked, and processed Security Service Agreements, Central Station Monitoring Agreements, and Software Service Agreements (SSA).- Delegated smaller service calls to Coordinators while managing small and mid-sized projects personally. Set objectives for coordinators and worked with them to attain goals.
Service Coordinator
As the Service Coordinator my primary responsibility is to drive, schedule, and maintain the operations of the Service Department, both in house and in the field. I do that through thoroughness, effective customer contact, and the effective management of in-house resources. I also manage mid-size telecommunications and security projects and provide PM assistance on larger jobs, while managing the administrative functions of these roles.
Service Coordinator
• Sole responsibility for creating and managing the schedule for all company field operations with the objective of exceeding departmental revenue goals, completing projects in a timely manner, and responding to customer needs.• Prepare all incoming service and inspection reports for billing. Review reports for deficiencies, upgrade recommendations, and customer requests that can become revenue opportunities.• Interface with customers to pursue service and inspection leads. Generate quotes for additional service and inspection work; convert approved quotes into sales orders and inspection agreements.• Communicate with customers via phone and email with the goal of addressing emergent service needs, seeking out additional product applications, and fostering positive provider/customer relationships.• Coordinate with company's engineering, procurement, and sales departments to achieve cohesive internal operation.• Communicate daily schedule, as well as unexpected changes, to all field technicians. Coordinate field operations with customers, subcontractors, and fire officials as necessary. • Maintain and update service and inspection records.
Dispatcher
• Supervised a staff of up to twenty employees daily, including tour conductors and guest service staff.• Organized, modified, and communicated daily operations schedule to all field staff. Daily operations often accounted for more than three thousand passengers per day.• Altered schedule on the fly throughout the operations day to account for ticket sales, traffic conditions, and other factors.• Maintained contact contact with ticket sales locations and corporate office and coordinated to maintain efficient operation. • Prepared semiannual performance reviews for staff under my supervision. • Daily customer interaction, both in person and via phone.
