I'm looking forward to my opportunity to be General Manager at the Albany, NY Ruby Tuesday. I will continue my focus that got me to General Manager by facilitating a culture of the "One team, one Dream" mentality. The Dream is to become America's favorite restaurant by building sales and guest counts while increasing profitability, with a restaurateur's mentality.

I make guests happy, by doing whats right. This is our companies credo and I best do my job by following these words. Every day we put a great product infront of hundreds of guests and ensure that this happens efficiently and most importantly profitably. I am in charge of motivating a staff to maximize their selling potential and providing a memorable experience for every guest they come in contact with. Along with grooming and promoting talent from within the team, hiring valuable members to our team helps us deliver on our credo.

Managing the daily day to day tasks of the restaurant. Schedule writing, training new staff members, and cultivating customer first attitude with the staff. I was able to bring a different view on the industry coming from a corporately ran restaurant to a privately owned one. Inversely I was able to add to my experience as a Service Manager after working a privately owned restaurant.

I would close the restaurant after a serving shift. As I began to fall in love with the industry, developing my talent as a restaurant manager was something I dove into. I began to run dinner shifts with my GM along with the normal closing of the restaurant. I learned how to make a deposit after counting the nights drawer and cashing out servers. Closing the restaurant and having it clean and ready to open was a necessity.
