Design and install lighting upgrades in multiple buildings over several years, saving $15,000+. Maintain and manage repair of manufacturing and industrial equipment including CNC and robotic. Manage equipment warranties. Design and install electrical systems for production equipment in lieu of contracting out, estimated company savings of $30,000+. Relocate and reinstall various manufacturing equipment (presses, benders, CNC, Laser, etcetera) in three manufacturing buildings. Overall savings $50,000+. Lay out and install compressed air systems in three production buildings saving the company $25,000+ over hiring an outside contractor. Additional upgrades to system saving $5000+ annually in electrical usage. Automate manufacturing equipment utilizing hydraulics, pneumatics, redesign of circuitry, PLC, and ladder logic; increase productivity 30%. Safety Committee - Meet with OSHA and insurance inspectors; perform safety walk-through, inspect equipment and review procedures. Write maintenance manuals (13) per OSHA guidelines (see under Publications); execute and enforce safe practices. Compile MSDS and SDS information. Oversee disposal of hazardous waste per EPA regulations. Monitor and improve air quality as required. Installation of safety equipment. Certify forklift driver. Research, advise, and purchase maintenance and company manufacturing equipment, materials, and tools. Review and approve related expenditures; authorize payments.
