I am a passionate and driven junior at the University of Virginia, pursuing dual degrees in Computer Science and Economics. My background includes a strong focus on software development, data analytics, and project management, with expertise in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL, and frameworks like React, Node.js, and MongoDB.This past summer, in my role as a Data Analyst at Oceanside Library, I worked extensively with large datasets, utilizing Python and Excel automation scripts to streamline data management processes. I also developed and implemented an AI-based chatbot integrated into the library's digital systems, improving user interaction and handling a significant volume of queries. This role sharpened my ability to apply automation and artificial intelligence solutions to real-world problems, enhancing the library's outreach and operational efficiency.I was also selected this past summer for the IBM Accelerate Program (Software Development Track), where I worked on cloud-native applications using technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and IBM Cloud. Through this experience, I honed my skills in deploying containerized applications, managing cloud infrastructure, and improving web application security. The program allowed me to deepen my expertise in full-stack development, working primarily with JavaScript, React, and Node.js to build scalable and secure applications.One of my most significant projects is a to-do list application that allows users to upload syllabi in both PDF and Excel formats. The app features OCR functionality to extract data from non-editable documents, automating the process of scheduling academic deadlines into a dynamic calendar. This project was built using JavaScript, React, Node.js, and additional libraries like tesseract.js for OCR, providing users with a highly functional and efficient time management tool.In addition to my technical work, I serve as a Resident Advisor at UVA’s International Residential College, where I oversee 39 residents and manage programs that foster cultural exchange and community building. This position has enhanced my leadership, communication, and organizational skills as I regularly plan and execute initiatives that enrich the residential experience.I am excited to apply my skills in software development, data analysis, and leadership to new challenges, and I am seeking opportunities that allow me to make a meaningful impact while continuing to grow as a professional.
