Special work assignments included supporting both the Westmark Hotel and Transportation Divisions in the following areas. Responsibilities included, developing a hospitality-training program for all frontline service personnel to include service standards, service delivery, roll playing, product training, and other basic hospitality service training.• Assigned interim responsibility for the operations of the McKinley Explorer in mid July 2001. This is a 13-car full service rail operation providing food, beverage, retail and narrative services running between Anchorage, Denali, Fairbanks both north and south bound. Each rail car accommodates 72-passengers. Resigned to pursue better opportunities within the hospitality field which were more of an operational focus.

Seasonal resort year round operation servicing over 2.5M visitors annually. Management team included a Group Manager of Operations directly responsible for the up-lake operations and 10-additional direct reports supervising the numerous components throughout this lake wide operation. Direct responsibilities included the supervision of the five Marinas located on Lake Powell as well as One River Rafting Company. Total revenues exceeded $89M in 2000. 450 guestrooms, 400 houseboats, 3,425-wet/dry storage for private houseboat and small boat customers. Eleven tour boats, eleven retail operations, food and beverage operations serving both fast food and upscale dinning serving in access of 400K covers annually. Houseboat rental fleet consisting of 400 houseboats, 300 powerboats, 50 personal water-crafts. 38 inflatable rafts servicing over 40K passengers annually both white water and smooth water operations. Six-water and four-land based fuel operations pumping in access of 7M gallons of fuel annually. Focus on the environment extremely important to the client, which is the National Park Service.Purchasing, Contracts, Pricing, Cost Containment, Warehousing, Capitol Improvements, and Regulatory Compliance.

Operational responsibility for 9 full Service Hotel Properties located in Denver. Albuquerque, Cheyenne & Sheridan WY, Ft. Collins. CO, Rapid City SD, Billings Montana and Tucson Arizona. Coordinate, Development & Construction of a 50,000 sq ft. Trade/Conference Center at one of the Denver Properties a new concept in Conference/Business Hotel Services Administered financial controls for a combined annual volume of $50M Implementation of quality standards program for each property to achieve consistently highest ratings in guest’s satisfaction & hotel performance. The retention of existing clients paramount for success.
