AerCap acquired International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), a subsidiary of AIG, in 2014, and GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), a subsidiary of GE, in 2021.Responsible for strategic deals, financings, asset sales, corporate governance, intellectual property, worldwide contract oversight, and all securities law matters.• Spearheaded multi-part $24bn GECAS acquisition-debt package including a top-10-largest bond offering of all time, then relocated to Miami and cofounded new US headquarters composed mostly of fresh recruits, leading to successful merger of industry’s two largest firms.• Established, managed, and scaled captive insurance company, formed after theft by Russian airlines of 100+ aircraft worth ~$3bn that triggered >10x increase in premiums, opening direct access to reinsurance markets and saving company several million dollars each year.• Led multiple aircraft portfolio sales and variety of critical treasury deals—credit agreements and securities offerings including listed, secured, subordinated, non-recourse, sharia-compliant, and export-credit agency transactions, as well as exchange offers, tenders, and consent solicitations—satisfying liquidity needs of >$100m/week.• Advanced many post-merger synergy projects including optimizing US legal structure and complicated transfers of assets worth $40bn+ to Ireland that collectively saved company ~$225m/year.
