As Director of Learning and Practice I oversee the strategic and operational management of our services across the UK. In the last financial year, Place2Be worked with 700 schools, supporting a school population of over 380,000 children and young people.In my role I provide leadership of the Senior Leadership Team, with eight direct reports and a wider delivery team nationally comprising over 420 employees. I have financial control and management of a multimillion pound operating budget, regularly developing and contributing to statutory and voluntary funding applications, including leading on funding pitches to new and existing funders. Our Learning Team has grown significantly in recent years, both in terms of reach and impact; offering accredited qualifications for Counsellors and school staff alike. I have initiated and overseen the digitisation of our expert training programmes. To date over 30,000 teachers across the UK have accessed our Mental Health Champions – Foundation programme, with outstanding feedback.As a highly skilled communicator, I frequently represent the organisation, internally and externally with stakeholders , including acting as a national spokesperson with both the media and government.
