Working on USAID's Act to end NTDs east program, a global project implemented by RTI in various countries with a goal aligned to WHO's road map of ending NTDs.

• Finance & Administration Manager for Comprehensive HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care, Treatment and Support with the Uganda People’s Defense Forces implemented by RTI International.
• Lead management of finances and administration of the projects and ensures compliance with RTI financial procedures.
• Review and submit monthly financial extracts (including expenses, receivables and payables) using QUICKBOOKS accounting software.
• Ensure timely submission of financial reports, bank reconciliations and wire transfer requests to corporate headquarters in USA and/or RTI regional office in Nairobi.
• Reviewed payment requests, advance expense reports before forwarding them for approval.
• Performed the role of a Bank signatory for both cheque and online payments.

• Prepare monthly operating budgets and analyses.
• Maintain an updated Payroll and file all statutory requirements in a timely manner
• Handle accountabilities from accounting officers as per agreed departmental schedule.
• Offer ongoing training, supervision and support to the Accounts assistants.
• Keep financial records, balance accounts using manual and the accounting software in place.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Grants Financial Admnistrator.

Overall responsibility: To be responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operations in relation to: Monthly financial report preparation, reconciliation of creditors and debtors, payroll processing and Partners, staff and Management support. Achievements registered. a) Gained skills and experience in e-tax, (PAYE and WHT return filling)b) Gained skills.

Uganda

1. Budget review and budget management.- Reviewing both annual and quarterly budgets for projects/programs using appropriate budgeting tools.- Translating annual budgets into monthly cash flows for effective Program implementation.- Monitoring expenditure to ensure that it’s consistent with the budget.- Preparation of budget variance reports for management.
