Founding Member, responsible for engineering design of new products and general operations for an environmental equipment manufacturer.

Responsible for the Engineering, Maintenance, Chemical and Process Control departments of a major motion picture film laboratory. Worked locally and with other worldwide facilities to improve processes and procedures (including environmental) and develop best practices. Supervised approximately 100 employees including management, engineers and technicians.Responsible for developing and maintaining a multimillion-dollar budget for these departments.

Worldwide Environmental, Health & Safety Provided EH&S oversight and support for all Technicolor Entertainment Services (TES) facilities worldwide Managed and conducted audits of facilities worldwide to ensure compliance with all regulations and company standards including ISO 14001. Ensured the use of best practices in EH&S areas throughout the TES organization especially in the areas of silver recovery and perchloroethylene (PCE) recovery.Managed the design and procurement of carbon adsorption systems for the recovery of PCE at five facilities.Worked extensively with the South Coast Air Quality Management District in development of Rule 1425, “Film Cleaning and Printing Operations”, to ensure industry input..

In charge of day-to-day operation of plumbing and developer maintenance departments at a motion picture film processing laboratory. Implemented “Any five of seven” scheduling in these departments to eliminate excess overtime.Designed automated systems for film processing machine to provide touchscreen operator interface, and to control developer temperature, chemical replenishment, and dry box temperature and humidity. Upgraded developer temperature control system to control within 0.1 °F (a 50% improvement). Project manager on film cleaner replacement and solvent recovery systems that paid for themselves in 18 months and provided ongoing savings of approximately $150,000 per year.

Principal in charge of the operation of the West Coast office of Sierra Environmental Engineering, providing environmental equipment and services for the Chemical, Petrochemical and Power Industries among others.Manager of the engineering, design and fabrication group at Sierra.Responsible for the technical integrity of engineering designs developed at Sierra.In charge of overall project management including sales, proposal preparation, contract negotiations, design, fabrication, and startup for all engineering projects.Supervised the installation and start-up of pollution control equipment for projects throughout the United States and internationally.

Designed and supervised the construction of two film processing laboratories including an Ektachrome film laboratory and the only professional Kodachrome film laboratory in Southern California.Managed all commercial, technical and production aspects of these film laboratories.While under my supervision, Kodachrome laboratory awarded a perfect 4.0 ZIN process control rating by Eastman Kodak Company.

Trained by Kodak in both film processing and environmental engineering.Provided technical assistance for special event film processing during 1984 Olympic Games.
