Duties:Standards-Procedure and protocols – Develop and maintain project BIM strategy, EIR, BIM scopes for the project team, BIM Execution Plan (BEP), and other required BIM standards-Training – Assess BIM training requirements and deliver required BIM training either using internal or external training providers.-Oversee integration of BIM and Information TechnologyManagement:-Enforce project BIM strategy, 3D/BIM coordination workflows and BEP across the project team -Creating and capturing evidence of BIM values which influence the commercial outcomes on the project. -Regular reporting of the project BIM activities to internal and external stakeholders-Ensure that the BIM function delivers the Business Plan objectives and targets agreed.Clients Support:-Chair internal and external BIM meetings as a client side BIM representative -Helping clients identify and develop EIR documents.-Support the procurement team to package work scopes for inquiry including trade specific BIM scope and BIM capability assessment etc.-Providing onsite training to clients within their organisation.Marketing of BIM services:-Establish BIM Vision & Business Solutions-Web, literature,interviews, presenting at relevant client focused conferences-Future BIM industry initiatives and development programs-Support Directors in securing new business opportunities including bid writing, undertaking presentations to clients.Project Interface:-Working closely with internal cost planning and estimating teams and help link model quantities to cost plans and estimate-Work with internal as well as external asset management team and produce project BIM outputs to smoothly link with the asset management systems -Clash Prevention - Interrogation of the design input of the model to identify clashes and produce and manage a clash register as a secondary check to the design team’s clash prevention activity.
