I started this position as an Artificial Intelligence engineer after my internship. I continue working in the Core Technology section, most specifically, in the Document verification team.I develop AI models mostly on document antispoofing tasks. We focus on guaranteeing the authenticity of the document captured by the client. As a team, we provide state-of-the-art neural networks and cutting-edge technologies. The main tasks I do are:- Model Optimization: Achieved a 93% Intersection over Union (IOU) in identity card corner detection using a compact 0.6MB model, yielding performance of over 100 FPS on mobile devices.- Anti-Spoofing Model Leadership: Orchestrated the full lifecycle of anti-spoofing model development. Enhanced false negative rates by 44% and false positive rates by 54%, with ongoing monitoring for continuous advancement.- Global ID Classification: Attained a landmark 99.12% accuracy rate in classifying over 300 international identity card types, ensuring robust verification processes.- Advanced AI Research: Spearheaded research and analysis of state-of-the-art AI techniques, integrating latest advancements into our development workflow for peak model performance.Thanks to this position, the team and the company I'm working with, I am familiar with the complete workflow of a Deep Learning model and am able to constantly find ways to improve both the product and the general workflow.Constant internal and external teamwork and communication are required.

During this summer internship, I assisted Veridas testing-team in the duties of:- Collecting and labeling data for facial and ID Card analysis models- Collecting and labeling data for voice analysis models- Assisting the testing team in various tasks related to data collection and analysis- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes and procedures related to data collection and training.This internship provided me a valuable experience in data collecion for image and audio recognition. It really helped me to better understand the importance of accurate data labeling in the training of AI.Additionally, I learned how to work and interact with cross-functional teams and handle all the tasks in a short time.
