As an engineer, leader and problem solver, I have always had a passion to know how and why things work. I am driven to understand and analyze the whole picture rather than just individual components. With this passion and drive, I have been able to focus my career on designing solutions, mentoring individuals and managing teams to solve complex problems. It excites me to learn new technologies and utilize my skills to design and implement new systems that solve business problems. As a critical thinker and thought leader, I successfully analyze business needs and provide technology road-maps to devise solutions while managing risk and resolving road blocks. Throughout my career, I have helped companies through technology transformations; introducing unique and leading edge technologies and assisting businesses to move forward with new product offerings. Currently, I am responsible for guiding an engineering team to create and deliver robust solutions for customers in the fleet tracking and management market. In this role, I provide insight and knowledge in a diverse set of technologies including IoT devices, automated middleware systems, enterprise interfaces and complex UI solutions. Additionally, I have successfully built strong relationships with vendors and partners to introduce new business and revenue growth.As a leader and manager of an engineering team, I respect each team member's needs both professionally and personally. I strive to find both training and project work that will allow each person to grow and provide expertise back to the company. I push my team to be interactive, creative and critical thinkers in all phases of product development. I value diversity and welcome innovations from my team in all aspects of the their role. My role is to make my team be as effective and successful in achieving company goals.Often, my best ideas for solutions to complex problems come while I'm spending time outdoors hiking or biking. I also enjoy dabbling in cooking and playing games. I am consistently looking for ways to grow and learn new things. I am never a person that sits on the sidelines and I enjoy volunteering and assisting other individuals and groups to reach their goals through effective organization and communications. I am driven to teach and share my knowledge and skills with students including acting as a mentor to high school students in FIRST robotics.
