I graduated from the University at Buffalo in 1989 with a degree in Physical Therapy. While I have had a lifelong interest in coaching and athletic performance, I enjoy treating a variety of patients, all who have different goals. A collegiate cross country runner and ultramarathoner myself, I understand what drives the desire for athletic performance, and what frustrates them when they are suffering from an injury that keeps them from being their best. I also understand that not every patient has a goal of returning to sports. I view every patient as an athlete, each one having their own “return to play” goals. It may be returning to a sports field or court, or it could be being able to walk and to negotiate the stairs within their own home. My career has been spent primarily in the outpatient orthopedic setting and includes management of several clinics over the years, but my passion is patient care. My continuing education includes certifications in Trigger Point Dry Needling, Sportsmetrics, and Champion Performance Specialist. Being the father of two high school athletes, I have also had a special interest in injury prevention, running several performance and injury prevention programs. I have coached a variety of middle school, high school and college sports through the years and worked with area club,high school, and professional sports teams in the areas of performance, injury prevention and rehabilitation.
