Technical lead for multiple off-road vehicle programs including RZR Turbo S, RZR Turbo Dynamix, Polaris General, Ranger Mid-Size 570, Ranger Li-Ion, RZR900XP, and RZR800S.Experience & Skill Set - Technical Lead at Program Level*Develop and manage multiple vehicle test plans (DVP&R) based on performance requirements, new technology, and resource optimization*Identify key risk areas and develop new tests (field or lab) as needed*Develop & set pass/fail criteria for vehicle & system components*Issue tracking (IR's): Set priority & plan for technical issues identified in testing. Ensure root cause is understood and counter-measures are in place prior to production*Ensure all systems are on schedule, have testing on track, and have a clear path forward for issues found. Work with Systems Engineers to bring things back on track if delays or failures occur.*Use data acquisition equipment to collect empirical information such as CAN, Strain, LVDTs, Pressure Transducers, Thermocouples, Load Cells, IMUs, and Accelerometers*Analyze/Post Process data using nCode and Weibull Analysis to develop lab tests and block cycles that simulate field durability requirements.*Manage field test fleets, personnel requirements, and locations*Develop Benchmark Tests - Internal & External Products*Responsible for ensuring external certifications requirements are met*Experienced in Li-ion Performance & Safety Tests*Experienced in Thermal Management: Certified Level 1 Thermographer*Experienced in Bolted Joint Testing & Analysis*Provide guidance to the validation team for improving the team skill set, highlight team concerns, and identifying solutions.*Developed Specifications, Requirements, & Test Procedures to Improve Validation Engineering Framework and Tools*Experience with handling of vehicle recalls and validation of recall fix*Present regular updates of overall vehicle progress and production readiness to managers, directors, and VPs
