For six months I worked as a Work Crew Supervisor for the PPWCMA. I worked on several different projects during my time at the PPWCMA. Some standout projects include work with local Landcare groups on a variety of land improvement projects, work with individual landowners and farmers to improve the environmental credentials of their properties through weed control and revegetation works. My crew and I also worked with several local community groups and businesses such as Down’s Estate community farm, Joy of the Earth community garden, and Sage’s cottage. My crew and I also worked on several bushfire impacted properties rehabilitating the sites.The range of projects shows my exceptional ability to learn new skills and adapt to a broad range of tasks and working environments. I learned many useful skills such as plant identification, safe chemical hygiene, manual and chemical weed control procedures, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, payroll timesheet submission, incident reporting, hazard identification, risk assessment as well as the use of ArcGIS survey 123 software.I also completed relevant training in Level II First Aid, Defensive Driving, 4x4 driving and trailer towing, Animal Awareness, Chainsaw Maintenance and Operation, Australian Chemical Users Permit, and Cultural Awareness. I showed dedication to his role and was able to work successfully with different stakeholders such as landowners, government organisations, indigenous and local environmental groups.I distinguished myself by always being polite and having a genuine manner, willing to not only learn new skills but to share, encourage and teach skills to his work colleagues. I am intelligent and open with a strong work ethic, honesty, and integrity.
