• Responsible to the General Accountable Manager for the overall operation of the inspection department.• Confirm that the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Repair Station manuals are documented andcomplied with.• Confirm that all applicable Airworthiness Directives and mandatory service instructions are documented and complied with.• Confirm that the inspection records, reports, and forms utilized by the Repair Station are correct and properly executed.• Ability to interpret and adhere to Boeing and Airbus aircraft manufacture manuals, illustrated parts catalogues, manufacturing overhaul manuals, and wiring diagrams. • Redirect and correct improper maintenance tasks or procedures.• Responsible to exercise final inspection authority and authorized to sign all forms confirming compliance related to inspection, repair, and return to service.• Direct, plan, and lay out the details of inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by the Repair Station in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.• Maintain technical data on all units overhauled or repaired by the station to include relevant material such as records of manufacturer’s overhaul manuals, service bulletins, FAA manuals, and other data as required.• Inspect aircraft components for proper workmanship and airworthiness before, during, and after work is performed by all technicians.• Serve as liaison for the Repair Station with the Federal Aviation Administration.• Lead audits conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration and customers.• Responsible for overhauling and repairing Halon 1211 Fire Extinguishers.
