About Patrick Robitaille

Currently Senior Advisor, Policy and Government Relations for Save the Children Canada (until July 2023), I have been in the international aid sector since 2002. I have worked in more than 30 countries and humanitarian crises contexts ranging from welcoming refugees from Darfur in 2004, contributing to the early response and reconstruction following the earthquake in Haiti in 2010 or responding to the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone in 2014 with organizations such as MSF, Care and the Red Cross.During these mandates as well as director of programs for organizations such as Médecins Sans Frontières and Médecins du Monde, I ensured the rapid development of project portfolios (I currently managing a $50M portfolio), I ensured the leadership of teams (up to several hundred employees and collaborators), contributed to developing strategic planning and structuring networks, developed advocacy campaigns and ensured media representation. Holder of a master's degree in political science as well as other degrees in administration, communication and marketing, I am also a lecturer at the School of Management of Laval University and I have conducted several international consulting mandates.I am passionate about the challenge of contributing to the social changes needed to create a World that is more just through good governance of organizations, social and technological innovations and the development of communities of practice and solidarity networks across borders.
