In 2007, I started my career in the logistics field. I worked my way up from a part-time position while going to school, through nearly every full-time position available at my DC, to a supervisory role with nearly 60 teammates who reported to me, to now managing the Second Shift from it's inception.The hourly role that prepared me most for management was as the sole Receiving Clerk. I took pride in knowing that after a certain point, every piece of inventory in our Distribution Center had my fingerprint on it. And keeping 40 people busy for 40 hours, plus, per week was an excellent experience in management preparation.
