ABOUT ME: For more than 40 years I have focused on the world of finance, banking, capital markets, and investments. During the first 20 of those years, I provided legal advice and direction to firms active in the capital markets, wealth and asset management, M&A, and private equity and commodity trading. For the past 20+ years, I have been more entrepreneurial. I co-founded, launched, and directed Avondale Partners where we have provided financial advice and services to corporate, individual, and institutional clients. Today as Managing Partner for Avondale Partners I am actively engaged in providing M&A and financing advice to middle-market healthcare services and IT companies across the country. Over my career, I have had a front-row seat to some historic and transformative events. The sort of events that dominate headlines for months and can change markets structurally. Black Monday, the ‘87 crash, Ivan Boesky, HillaryCare, the dot-com bubble, Decimalization, Refco, Enron, WorldCom, HealthSouth, September 11th, the demise of Arthur Andersen, Bear Sterns, and Lehman Bros., Bernie Madoff, Obamacare, the Great Financial Crisis – mortgage market meltdown, bailouts, QE, QE-II, QE-III, etc., the growth of PE, “unicorns”, COVID-19 lockdowns, meme-stocks . . . I feel very much like the Farmer’s Insurance guy, “We know a thing or two because we’ve seen a thing or two.”WHAT WE DO: At Avondale Partners we focus on healthcare services and HCIT – period. We use our domain expertise to assist clients with M&A or capital raising needs. Most of our clients are middle-market private companies who need capital to fund growth or who are wanting an exit.
