Dual citizen Canada-England, willing to travel for work.Graduated from the two year Television-Broadcasting program at Algonquin College in April of 2010.In May I was sent to CBC for one month as an intern with the college - it was a fantastic experience, I met a lot of great people and tried a lot of different jobs out. This all culminated with management calling me back in the middle of August to discuss working as a studio camera operator on the program Power and Politics for 1 week - it has been over a decade now.Starting at the CBC nothing was promised to me and I took every opportunity they gave. -I worked as a camera man both in studio and ENG, as well as a hybrid setup with a moving camera and equipment cart on Parliament Hill (I handled all lighting, audio, camera work, and guest management). -I was a dedicated ENG audio operator.-I worked as a grip on a number of special event items including church concerts at Christmas, political debates, Canada Day and Remembrance Day ceremonies, as well as several Hockey Night in Canada events.-I worked as an assistant-director on Power and Politics and the local CBC Ottawa news shows for several years, learning to create and modify graphics, edit full items and interviews and was as small clips and bgs, my ability to do quick math has proved beneficial and I gained a strong sense of show timing as well.-Following this I began switch-directing the local news, first the 2300 late half hour program, and then the 1800 full hour program. After that I began switching Power and Politics and then directing that show.
