CurrentWe had our first resident in November of 2012 in one ranch style home and now have 9 full time residents in two homes. We continue to believe that our residents get more personal care than in nursing homes with a ratio of care 1 to 5. We have had several part-time employees and now employ two 24/7 resident caregivers.I recently re-structured our web site and encourage you to view its new form soon at www.kindhands.me. I also regularly post on Linked-in and enjoy writing positive articles that uplift ones views of seniors and ways we can do more good.

In addition to managing Kind Hands Sr Care I was hired to help start a hospice for a company that has been in Home Health Care in 9 counties and is extending its reach to also cover hospice. ALC (A Loving Company) Hospice will exist to give loving care to those whose doctors have determined have 6 months or less to live.

I visited patients in their homes and some medical facilities. I weekly had meetings with Doctor's, Social Workers, Nurse Case Managers, CNA's and Administrators discussing these patients and their needs. After 6 years I decided to open a small group care home and left CNS to focus on that.

My bishop was going to move me to a 2 point charge in Marseilles and Seneca in the middle of my son's senior year of high school and I left to take a position as a hospice chaplain.
