Pre-apprentice: 1986-87Apprentice: 1987-to, at least, March 1990Implied member as of September 1997, when I returned back to Local 20-South Bend, IN, from Wyoming's (Cheyenne) Local, at which time I sought work in Local 20, but was denied by the very Business Agent (Eric J. Brown) who claims he told me before I went to Cheyenne that I had to stay out there for five years before I could return to Local 20, all of which is covered in the SMWIA Constitution (contract) and only applies to members who transfer from their home local union to another local union. The only logical inference to draw, then, would be that I was still a member of Local 20 in 1997 although Local 20 claims to have terminated my membership therein in March 1990 for an unexcused absence from apprenticeship-training class March 6, 1990, the fact that the local's apprenticeship committee never documented/recorded this alleged absence on notes of a minutes of a meeting held the same night notwithstanding.
