* Designing and developing replacement parts for use on S-Series concrete mixer line* Working with vendors to obtain product information, models, drawings, or other technical information* Requesting quotations and pricing information from vendors and internal purchasing department* Overseeing shop technicians during full tear-down of S-Series concrete mixer and noting areas for improvement as well as weight and dimensions of all major subsystems* Participating in weekly product improvement meetings for cost and weight reductions * Developing models and detail drawings for new products* Remastering and revising existing drawings to bring into current engineering format* Responding to manufacturing change requests by issuing change notices (CN's)* Creating instruction drawings for new and existing products* Creating new part numbers, making inquiries about product structure and parts, and cross referencing parts within a AS400 inventory system (JD Edwards)* Reporting to both a senior engineer and a chief engineer by giving progress reports and status reports on the projects assigned* Support the NPD and Construction Engineering Department with any help as required
