Honored to share my efforts in the nonprofit sector here in New York. CAMBA is a supportive housing organization tackling one of the biggest issues the city has been facing for decades.

Executing Committee

Ncr - National Capital Region, Philippines

I have had the honor of sharing my efforts in 2 non-profit organizations that strive to uplift the lives of underprivileged communities-specifically, the indigenous communities in the Philippines. This non-government nonprofit organization started out by giving Aeta communities light through the use of Solar Panels; hence the name. However as of today, it strives to accomplish several other types of projects that revolve around achieving basic human rights such as livelihood programs, classroom and education, and potable water rehabilitation. IPs are often times neglected and misunderstood. My role consisted of but were not limited to: ensuring the proper funds are raised, contacting and coordinating with possible sponsors, and to occasionally conduct fieldwork in the communities and see how the past projects are holding up as well as participating in meetings with the community elders and leaders moving forward. The beautiful thing about PL is that it focuses on grassroot partnerships which always puts the heart of the community and their needs first. We do not dictate how they move forward but we bridge the gap between their needs and aspirations through accumulating the necessary resources, facilitating operations, and ultimately telling their story to anyone who will listen.

Lecturer

Ateneo de Manila University, my alma mater, is one of the top-ranking universities in the Philippines. I have spent all my academic years in this campus and even gave back to the college through my part-time teaching role fresh from my graduation earlier this year. I believe that teaching a 3-unit introductory course to Microsoft Excel and E-commerce to 2 classes (60 students) is what I deem to be my most fruitful and significant achievement to date.

Associate Vice President (Public Relations & Externals)

Ncr - National Capital Region, Philippines

I strongly believe that being a student leader in my organizations during my stay in college has taught me about achieving personal growth whilst positively impacting others around you. Ateneo, arguably the mecca of student organizations, hones leadership among its students and provides an avenue for change outside of the campus. I was drawn to the sector-based cluster which zeroes in on the needs of neglected communities all around the metro. During my junior year I fell in love and committed to one student organization in particular: Barefoot Philippines; a fundraising arm of UNICEF which uplifts the lives of kids in rural communities. I participated in all projects for that school year and ended it by stepping up as project head for the year-end ball to culminate the year; handling a core team of 15 people for an event that catered to over 50 members and alumni. In my senior year I was chosen as the Associate Vice President of Internals in the Public Relations and Externals Department of Barefoot Philippines. I was assigned to handle internal partnerships within the campus and to ensure that we were on track to earn accreditation the following year. During my run as the AVP of Internals we established 3 new partnerships with other student organizations, increased online interaction by 50%, and co-organized and volunteered for a Filipino Youth Volunteerism Convention hosted by UNICEF Philippines.

Student Internship

Ncr - National Capital Region, Philippines

Apart from my life in the academe I took it upon myself to take advantage of the summer break before senior year to look for an internship. I landed in UnionBank Philippines in the Corporate Banking Department. Supervised by a mentor, I executed all tasks and sat in client calls when asked to. I also got the opportunity to work with fellow student interns for a fin-tech proposal project and a Corporate Social Responsibility: Go Beyond initiative of our choosing; the latter which garnered 300 USD worth of school supplies for a partner community.
