Corporate Development Manager
CurrentPrimary focus originating and analysing acquisition opportunities in Europe for Inter Pipeline Fund's (IPF) European expansion arm (Inter Pipeline Europe Limited - IPEL). IPF is a Canadian energy infrastructure company listed on the Toronto stock exchange. My main responsibilities during this period have been:> Analysis of the European hydrocarbon infrastructure market to determine potential acquisition targets> Origination of acquisition intelligence through networking with banks and advisors> Undertake investment analyses to be presented to the investment committee> Construct valuation models incorporating sensitivities and varying investment structures> Incorporate findings from acquisition due diligence into both valuations and investment analysesDuring this period I played a critical role in helping IPF more than double their European exposure through the acquisition of a network of energy logistics terminals in Denmark for CAD$500M. My responsibilities throughout this process were:> Initial analysis of target and creation of Investment Report, subsequently presented to Investment Committee> Construction of financial model used for consideration/tax structuring and determination of investment returns> Liasing with financial advisors for determination of optimal tax structure > Involvement in Heads of Terms and SPA negotiations with vendor
