While serving as Director of Test Engineering, I developed and deployed technological tools used for manufacturing processes. I provided direct factory support and managed tooling suppliers to plants across Asia. I managed the transitioning of operations to new facilities following factory shutdowns as well as the result of natural disasters. In this role, I modernized Emulex software operations to identify areas for improvement and craft goals-based technological solutions by implementing lean manufacturing methodologies. ♦ As a direct result of my efforts to redesign testing infrastructure, high volume product test time was reduced by 50% and complex processes were eliminated to allow for cost reduction of over $3K per fixture.♦ By restructuring our testing methodologies, test timing was reduced by 73% while exceptional quality standards were maintained. ♦ We were able to double our production rates with existing staff by recreating testing platform for Emulex Interposer chips.♦ In this role, I designed new test software that changed testing processes for Emulex products, which lowered total operator training time to less than two hours from several weeks.

Managed team of 5 engineers in software sustaining, black box and white box test effort on Sync Research products.Verification of Network Management systems running on Windows 95 and NT platforms.Responsible for dump analysis on problems reported from the field. This included isolating the issue down to the line of code. Tool used for this was a 286 Debugger.Generated patches to correct or debug customer issues.Protocol level testing of Frame Relay, SDLC, Bisync, Async, LLC, IP and IPX in both Ethernet and Token Ring environments. Test equipment included simulators, protocol analyzers (Sniffer and Chameleon) and Bit Error Rate Testers (Tektronix).

My first role out of college. This role really became a strong foundation in teaching me how to relate with other cultures and I owe a lot of the success I have achieved to the lessons that I learned with Fujitsu. In this role, I led customer field trials of Fujitsu PBX switches at hospital, universities and nuclear power plants throughout the Tennessee Valley. Became company expert on ISDN deployments and performed project management of test efforts on PBX switches, coordination of these efforts involved daily communications with the development team in Japan.
