Virtuoso II enabled Alltel to have over 60 Alltel Communication markets under one billing system. Alltel invested over $100M to bring Virtuoso II to market. * Senior client-server architect on Virtuoso II software development team which scaled to over 200 team members. Evaluated technologies and helped formulate strategic vision for the technical architecture. Developed coding guidelines and best practices for the software developers. * Managed the development of the inventory client/server sub-system. The inventory sub-system consisted of approximately 60 windows, 150 services and 20 asynchronous modules. Created project plan, tracked the delivery schedule, identified project issues and mitigated risks to ensure project milestones were met on schedule. * Created conceptual design for the Virtuoso II asynchronous architecture. Architecture was designed to be scalable and offered enterprise capabilities such as restart and recovery services. Provided quality assurance reviews during the architecture development process. * Conceptualized and led the development of the Virtuoso II real-time rating architecture. The real-time rating architecture received call records directly from the cellular switches and provided an extremely flexible and scalable flow of data through the various real-time rating application processes. The real-time rating system enabled key Virtuoso II functionality such as prepaid usage plans.
