About Patrick Mccarthy

In my position as Project Manager and Reissue Producer (A&R) at Light In The Attic Records, I created, produced and project managed hundreds of releases that introduced and reframed artists’ narratives for the world. From producing the first vinyl release of Willie Nelson’s "Teatro" album, along with a podcast featuring Mr. Nelson, to project managing and marketing the soundtrack of the Oscar-award winning film "Searching For Sugar Man" about Sixto Rodriguez, I have worked independently and as part of a team to ensure that narratives are in line for maximum fan engagement. As a trusted industry advocate, I’ve spoken on panels at SXSW and Making Vinyl, been interviewed by NPR and CBC for nationally syndicated radio shows, and appeared in and co-produced various documentary films ("Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me"). My expertise in production, marketing and packaging has led to a Grammy nomination and a seat on the Historical Craft Committee for the Grammy Awards. I also flex my OCD with archive management and project management platforms like Asana (Ambassador Certified) and Evernote.Let’s talk more. As Lead Project Manager, I managed releases, reissues and all custom projects for Light In The Attic Records (and imprints Future Days Recordings, Cinewax and Modern Classics Recordings). Podcast Producer/Editor

Los Angeles, California, United States

In 2015, I co-created and branded the popular Light In The Attic Podcast, delivered periodically with 100,000+ downloads. In my role, I successfully pitched stories that directly supported releases as well as those that existed in our general orbit. These episodes featured interviews with such icons as Willie Nelson, Flea, Daniel Lanois, Jarvis Cocker, Spooner Oldham, Haruomi Hosono, Mojo Magazine, and many more. From the technical side, I booked and recorded in-studio and remote/call-in interviews, cut tape, restored audio with a suite of audio repair software (iZotope RX7), sound designed and mixed each episode in Pro Tools. The Light In The Attic Podcast logo was created by artist Jess Rotter. https://www.jessrotter.com/
