Proudly serving our profession for over 20 years in Higher Education, as both a Professor of Music Education and a Director of Bands. Initiated two college athletic band programs, instituted multiple successful recruitment events, and expanded and/or organized entire music education degree programs. As an educator, director, advisor, committee member, observer, administrator, researcher, organizer, recruiter, and community collaborator, my joy is to witness triumphant students graduate and become their best.Currently pursuing three avenues of research: 🎵 Selection of concert band literature for high school adjudication with the most recent research presented at the 2022 CBDNA Southern Division CBDNA/NBA Conference,🎵 Advocacy of music to be an everyday course K–5 with the most recent research presented at the 2022 GMEA In-Service Conference, and 🎵 the importance of representation and inclusion in education.
