At Health & Wellness Innovations it was my responsibility to identify health systems, health plans, and community organizations that could benefit from our lifestyle management platform called Wellness Anytime Through Technology (WATT). After finding potential clients, I conducted informational interviews to learn more about their pain points and how to effectively tailor WATT in order to help more end users. I was also actively involved in investor research, and met with venture capitalists and angel investors to pitch for funding in order to increase our sales and marketing efforts.

As a manager, I worked directly with members of the coaching staff to maximize efficiency in practice and in game preparation. I learned a lot about football concepts, but I learned more about how to work in a fast-paced, highly-collaborative environment. Due to strict NCAA regulations, time is of the essence in the football program. This taught me the importance of planning ahead, and how to adapt to changes quickly.

At Johnson Brothers, I started out as a sales and distribution intern. I spent my first two weeks following around different sales professionals on their respective routes, observing how to effectively pitch products to clients. However, my responsibility soon changed as an employee left the company. I picked up two of his larger accounts, two Total Wine & More stores: one in Bloomington and one in Burnsville. At Total Wine, I was responsible for filling weekly orders and coordinating delivery logistics. While this was overwhelming at first, I picked things up quickly by asking a lot of questions and working with the store managers.

I was the only intern at The Institute for Athletes (IFA) in the summer of 2015. This gave me the chance to get very involved in the business; I gained exposure to all services offered at the company, from marketing deals to contract negotiation. At IFA, I was frequently given prompts for projects with little direction or supervision. My capstone project involved finding companies to partake in a 'training camp survival kit', which provided IFA clients with free product in exchange for social media outreach. I started partnerships with companies including Daniel Wellington and Training Mask, but most importantly I learned how to solve a problem with little instruction.

I began caddying at The Minikahda Club when I was 14 years old, and was promoted to Honor Caddie ranking just one year later. From that point on I carried two bags every round, which taught me how to multi-task. In my time at the Minikahda Club, I caddied for players of every skill level imaginable, from beginners to PGA Tour Professional Tim Herron. This experience taught me how to get along with all kinds of different people, and how to effectively tailor my services to the needs of each client.

In my time at The Minikahda Club, I became very close to Marshall Hoiness, the club's player development professional. In the summer of 2012, Marshall asked me to help him with the junior golf clinics. Together, we taught the fundamentals of the game to over 200 children ages 5-15. I specialized in teaching proper chipping and pitching techniques, and learned how to effectively communicate with the participants.
