Northeastern Consulting Group (NCG) is a student-run organization that provides students the opportunity to gain real-world consulting experience with clients across the nation. I started my journey as a Junior Consultant where I gained skills in conducting primary research with industry experts and secondary research analyzing market and client data. Upon being promoted to an Engagement Lead, I managed a team of 7 consultants where I led client communications and hosted collaborative team meetings. Throughout all engagements, I have created and presented professional deliverables in the form of decks and market reports. At NCG, I worked on 4 different engagements and solved business challenges with marketing strategies, inventory management, go-to market, and sales distribution strategies. I have collaborated with clients in various industries ranging from start-ups to companies with $300M in revenue. Throughout my time at NCG, I have gained experience in benchmarking industries through competitive analyses, sizing markets through bottom-up and top-down approaches, creating weighted matrices to support models, cleaning and analyzing client data, assessing risks and capabilities of solutions, and then presenting recommendations, answering questions, and implementing feedback.

I managed a database containing all on-premise and off-premise relationships to maintain accuracy in depletion metrics for each brand, product, and SKU for every B2B customer. I learned to navigate PowerBI and complex Excel files. I also identified key metrics and analyzed Circana data to assess the entire beer market and how Boston Beer brands were performing. I gained presentation skills, as I presented the information to senior management. I cleaned up, analyzed, and presented competitor data to support consumer insights on competitor brand tastings. I had to work cross-functionally with consumer insights and the specific brand team to accomplish this.

I cross functionally worked with production, operations, finance, and other departments to resolve bottlenecks revolving around supply chain, labor, cost of manufacturing, throughput, and employee morale. I standardized and center lined production rates and equipment based on conducted time studies I also led and took ownership over a reclamation project to recycle wasted product through data collection, cost analyses, and contractor management. I performed daily Gemba Walks with proper PPE to identify any malfunctioning or improper equipment.

Redesigned Northeastern University’s Entrepreneurship and Engineering space to be more inclusive to all people through general research, operations research, Gantt charts, and precedence diagrams. Maximized space to follow specific ADA guidelines, while abiding to cost and other team constraints. Submitted a combined research paper with multiple solutions and implementations containing different cost levels to be considered by the College of Engineering.

Developed R-based algorithms to stratify prostate cancer patient population based on whole genome amplification and deletion data, and generated heat maps and survival plots. Collaborated with a bioinformatics team and co-presented on a poster describing prostate cancer. Screened databases of multiple state for the occurrence of obesity with different cancer types, such as breast, prostate, pancreas, thyroid, etc.
