Patrick joined ICANN in March 2006. In the role of Registry Liaison Manager (Mar 06-Nov 09), Patrick developed ICANN's gTLD Registry Continuity Plan, managed the process for the evaluation of new registry services, and supported the new gTLD and IDN ccTLD Fast Track processes. In 2006, Patrick coordinated with experts on the formation of the Registry.

Managed domain name disputes for clients such as the International Olympic Committee and American Red Cross, assisted on trademark, copyright and Internet-related litigation in the federal courts, ACPA & UDRP proceedings, arbitration. Assisted with trademark filings with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Assisted on anti-counterfeiting work for.

Developed and operated one of the Internet's first informational websites on domain name disputes and the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy; provided government relations consulting for new gTLD applicant during 2003 Sponsored Round; provided research considered by ICANN's UDRP Review Task Force

Office of General Counsel - Coordinated recovery of domain names and protection of NCAA trademarks on the Internet; drafted and managed domain name disputes; worked on licensing and broadcast contracts related to NCAA Basketball Championships; researched Internet gambling issues and assisted with efforts by State Attorneys General, major professional.
