Hi, I’m Patrick Lucas, a senior at Drake University pursuing a B.F.A. in Graphic Design with a Minor in Marketing and Art History. From Vernon Hills, Illinois to Des Moines, IA, I have over 9 years of diverse design experience and a proficient understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud. I am on track to complete my undergraduate studies and receive my diploma this upcoming December 2024.My skills span various mediums including digital and film photography, typography, and web development. I've worked on projects ranging from album covers and logos to promotional materials and brand identities. Passionate about creative problem-solving and professional growth, I aim to leverage my extensive experience in my future career.From a young age into the beginning stages of my career search, my curiosity and energy drove me to develop my artistic talents, leading me to create works primarily in the areas of drawing, painting, and photography, but never settling with one single art discipline, learning ceramics, sculpting, welding/forging, and videography along the way. My diverse, personal experiences and observations of the human condition inspire my creative work. I strive to challenge perceptions, shed light on the mundane, and offer layered, narrative-rich perspectives through detailed observation of everyday life. All of my work is very context, material, and process-driven, and I enjoy pushing the envelope in whatever medium I work with or am assigned to.
