I am proud to announce I have begun my new career at Axon as a Professional Services Manager on the Justice Team. I am excited to work with this cutting-edge public safety organization helping all achieve justice in the criminal justice system.I worked for Wayne County for 30 years. I began my full-time career at the WCPO during my second year of law school finishing school at night. I spent eight years assigned to our office's homicide unit vertically prosecuting complex homicide cases. At the WCPO, I ended at the office as the Chief of our Special Prosecutions Division (which includes the Homicide Unit, Community Prosecution, Operation Legend, and the Major Drug Unit). I previously served as the director for our Violent Crime Unit (VCU). The VCU is a vertical prosecution unit handling shooting-related violent crime. I have also developed and managed a new Litigation Technology Unit. I have worked on special projects including body worn camera and cloud storage policy drafting. I was our office's rep to the Department of Justice’s Violent Crime Reduction project. In my career I have used courtroom technology, non-linear litigation software, and PowerPoint in all my trials while also assisting others in the office with their cases.I have twice traveled to Cairo, Egypt to teach Egyptian Public Prosecutor trial advocacy and how to use courtroom technology. I enjoy working with lawyers around the world regarding the use of non-linear litigation software, PowerPoint, general courtroom technology, digital evidence management, and trial advocacy. I am a member of the National College of District Attorney's faculty, the Association of Prosecuting Attorney's faculty, and the Prosecuting Attorney's Association of Michigan faculty.
