Began this job during my summer going into Senior year, 2009. I applied for this job to be able to have a steady job during school to pay for my finances, as well as to provide myself experiences with customer interactions. With the fast-paced environment, I have experienced that nothing in the world can take the place of persistence in a rapid moving.

I began this job in December of 2008. I completed various office tasks, as well as learned the knowledge of different investments including stocks, bonds, REITs, ETFs, insurance and retirement plans. I also was given the opportunity to attend a learning seminar in Cleveland, OH, sponsored by Ameriprise. Furthermore, I was taught proper ways to speak with.

I help out current Economics professors (mainly the head of the department, Dr. John Gregor) with their work that needs completed. Assisting with duties that include grading papers, hanging up fliers for events, and data entry of student surveys are a few duties that I am expected to complete. Also, I have gotten the chance to experience the process of.

As a summer job for the past three summers, I completed two positions with this government firm: a crew laborer and an office assistant during the summer of 2006. As a laborer, I helped repair road leaks, pot holes, installing hydrants, cutting grass, etc. As an Office Assistant, I helped make copies, scan documents and handled checks sent through the mail.

As my first internship experience, I learned the general basics of investing. Gaining the base knowledge of stocks, bonds, annuities and mutual funds (to name a few), my work experience began to expand because of this job experience. I also learned how to speak to clients, mostly on the phone. I also was given the opportunity to attend an investing seminar.

Assisted students from Washington Park Elementary School with their homework, class activities, and after school studies. As a mentor, each worker had two young students to work with specifically.
