In my role as Marketing Coordinator for PPM, I am responsible for the management and upkeep of the marketing campaigns for multiple clients across a variety of advertising platforms. My summer position for 2018 was as an Orientation Leader at Boston College. Following a three-day retreat and two weeks of training, my 42 colleagues and I help guide freshmen and transfer students through a three-day orientation session, during which they choose their schedule for the upcoming fall semester, form bonds with other new BC students, and get acclimated to Boston College. Our training includes many hours of practicing facilitating a group, learning about diversity on campus and how to moderate discussions about diversity and differences, and understanding our influence on the first year students and how to be good role models over the summer and throughout the academic year. Over the course of 7 orientation sessions throughout the summer, my colleagues and I formed lasting bonds with each other, and learned the ins-and-outs of our university.

I mainly assist with general projects around the office. My main responsibility consists of composing, editing, and renewing letters for visiting scholars and faculty. I also created an interactive map (linked below) of the public transportation systems in Boston and the surrounding areas to help the Vice Provost analyze whether or not the Boston College administration should subsidize an MBTA pass for employees.

Four year position, summer only. I served as a camp counselor for children between ages 5 and 14, with certain focus on specific ages varying summer-to-summer. I led the children from activity to activity, assisted with general operations of the entire camp, and fostered a safe environment where the children could challenge themselves and form lasting friendships. Camp Thoreau places an emphasis on helping children develop mentally, socially, and emotionally, and working here after spending parts of 10 summers at Camp Thoreau as a camper helped bring the experience full circle.
