With over 6 years of experience as a design consultant for Timberlake Custom Homes, my job role covers a wide range of responsibilities. Generally, I work closely with each client to visually create a home that incorporates form, function, and aesthetics. More specifically, I manage all home selections (e.g. flooring, tile, countertops, lighting, plumbing, hardware, colors, and more), which not only requires interior design and creative skills, but also a multifaceted understanding of each material I work with, which has taken years of experience in the building industry to learn. On the front end, my role is to be a personalized creative guide to each client. But behind the scenes, my responsibility is to make the construction process as smooth as possible for our project managers. To accomplish this, I organize content into the online client portal (CoConstruct), create or request estimates, place orders, schedule deliveries, and adhere to each job's specific schedule and deadlines. I visit job sites as needed and am constantly working with subcontractors and vendors. As a Design Consultant, I have also gained experience in estimating, reading and editing blueprints (Chief Architect), and proofreading specifications, plans, and budgets. My other duties at Timberlake Custom Homes include: graphic design, print and social media marketing, website maintenance, editing and designing our seasonal newsletter, and scheduling professional home photography. In addition to my 9-5 career, I work remotely on freelance graphic design and art commissions. I have 11+ years of Adobe Suite experience with a wide portfolio range including logos, marketing materials, shirt designs, magazines/booklets, product packaging, video editing, illustration, and professional photography. My proficiencies include: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Premier Pro, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, Shopify, Wordpress, Wix, HTML 5, CSS3, digital photography, painting (acrylic and watercolor), and drawing (e.g. ink, markers, pencil, charcoal, and pastels).
