Since becoming an Executive Consultant in 2015, my role is now focused on Service Delivery and working closely with my colleagues to develop IT Service Management and the overall service we offer our clients. I also help deliver initiatives and improvements within the Managed Services Department.Our Managed Services Team is really two departments:Remote Services is where we look after customers remotely from the various Waterstons offices so our customers don't have to employ their own experts. We can do this 24/7/365 with the help of our Australia Team.Service Delivery is where do similar things but embedded with the customer, on their site. We can support their existing staff for a few days a month or provide an entire IT department with several full time experts.In either case we bring process (e.g. ITIL) knowledge and experience, best practice and access to the skills of the whole of Waterstons covering other areas such as Cyber, Cloud & Infrastructure, Software, Data & Analytics, Business Consulting, Project Management and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Working in a hybrid role across our clients base for Managed Services contracts

As part of the Glen Dimplex IT department my main duties would include, assisting the Group Network Manager on all major projects for the Group, running the IT operations locally and abroad and assisting in new projects. Support to over 20 sites globally connected over MPLS and VPN Networks.

Responsible for all Technical Support of Hardware/Software/System Administration and Network Support throughout the Company and to certain projects undertaken by the company. Responsible for purchasing of hardware/software and also support Technical Specifications for Projects. Support consists of users in Ireland, UK, Australia and the US.

Responsible for all testing of Master CD’s in areas of Table of contents, ASCII, PSEC, UPC and Virus checks and also converting information from CD to Tape (Digital Linear Tape) or Exabyte.Responsible for all administration within Premastering at Testing Stage, which involved knowing Standard Operating Procedures and then updating records for work carried out.Responsible for testing/installing new software and PC’s within the Premastering Department.

Projects completed:National Land Parcel Identification System (LPIS) Project, Ireland.This project called for the design, implementation and integration of a Geographic Information System for the purpose of creating a National Land Parcel Identification System to comply with the European IACS Regulations.National Land Parcel Identification System (FLPIS) Project, Finland.Worked and lived in Finland for approx 8 months to complete project.Land Parcel Digitisation.Land Parcel Validation and Quality Control on SectionsSoftware testing.
