In addition to this, he/she must be willing to perform as a Senior Controller when required. This person must be willing to undertake the training necessary to become qualified in a unit position on another complex as shift manning group require.Duties and Responsibilities• Liaises with the Senior Controller/ Shift Manager on all aspects of unit control, maximizes yields and minimizes losses within equipment constraints and product specifications.• Must maintain knowledge of, and be willing to relieve in all jobs in the area (s) in which they have expertise.• Takes full responsibility for operating the control system of a unit or group of units and is accountable for optimizing unit performance using this control system including advance control system optimizers. Accountable to Senior Controller on the complex and/or Shift Manager.• Coordinates the focus of Process Technicians with the employees’ awareness of plant performance, and delegates responsibilities to appropriately qualified Process Technicians.• Participates in and overviews the training of other Process Technicians and Trainees commensurate with knowledge, ability and experience, including on-shift training using simulators.• Participates in organization of leave, training programs, overtime and laboratory testing.• Inputs all tank movements to AToMS system (ACCE Controller).
