I provide advice and guidance around effective digital user experience practices and visual communication strategies including the consistent use of the BCE Design System. Key initiatives and achievements: • Performed annual UX and UI audits of the organisation’s key products – interviewing ITS managers, teams leaders, SMEs and product owners. • Identified areas of strength and weakness in the company’s UX and UI practices. • Reported findings to the Head of IT and determined the most relevant/important areas to address first. • Procured an accessibility training provider and organised training for the whole IT department. • Conducted a post-training survey to measure the success of the training. • Produced a recording of the online accessibility training for use as an ongoing learning resource for IT staff. • Procurement of accessibility tools to assist designers, developers and product owners.• Led the accessibility review of the organisation's 'top 10' products to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. • Management and promotion of the company design system. • Led a UX/UI community of practice within the organisation to bring together likeminded, interested individuals on a monthly basis for collaboration and information sharing. • Provided UX/UI consultation services for a new parent based mobile app. This involved design advice and guidance, facilitating focus groups, and designing low-fidelity functional wireframes. • Research and implementation of product design workflows.• And as a member of the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) working group, I initiated the production of a video to promote the adoption of RAPs in schools.
