Previously the Data Science department manager with Moda Health, I was responsible for maintaining the Enterprise Data Warehouse population processes, and managing my Data Science development team. I had a large overseas and onshore team totaling 18 people. I focused on streamlining our ever increasing software development using best practice SDLC and created tools to monitor our workload, bottlenecks, and to communicate efficiently with executives at Moda Health. I pushed to automate the many manual processes by enforcing data standards. I emphasized the value of training in new skills to my team, including Python, R, and encouraged exploration of AI tools to speed development. Finally, I worked strategically with executives to ensure Data Science had the budget and IT hardware resources to achieve Moda's goals.I have broad experience developing workflow products for business clients. I was the only employee and installed and maintained systems in fifteen separate departments, including Computer Science, Psychology, Cell Biology and Neuroanatomy, all of the Veterinary College departments.
