I was previously working for Forum Projects as Project Director on their 'Deya Atmosphere Project' in Kolkata, India.Forum Projects are both client and Construction Manager for the Atmosphere project.Cutting-edge vision, design and architecture has created Atmosphere's 37-storey twin towers, which will accommodate 32 double-storey and 48 single-storey super luxury apartments. Marketed as 'villas in the sky', all units include extensive landscaped terraces, some of which cantilever 6.5m from the building and support 5m-high trees. The most breath-taking feature is the 'Deya' (Bengali for cloud), a dramatic four-storey high sky bridge spanning 80m and connecting both towers at 100m above ground level. The Deya will house the residents' community and recreational facilities, including a swimming pool, gymnasium, spas, running track, sporting facilities, virtual golf, cinema, meeting spaces and function facilities. The highly complex sky bridge construction will use 2,300 tonnes of fabricated steel erected via 'strand jacking' lifting techniques and supported on four specialised earthquake absorbing bearings.

As the managing contractorwe were engaged to deliver $520M worth of capital works projects (over 5 years) including2,640 meters, 2,750 automated solar powered flume gates, 55 major automated reservoir andstorage structures, and 220 kilometres of HDPE irrigation channel lining.Whilst Project Director I also took on the additional role of Contracts/Procurement manager for 6 months,followed by Delivery Manager for 6months whilst the right candidates were employed, whichtook longer than normal, as the project was coming to an end.Also: January 2009 to October 2009 I worked as Project Manager on this project as it was first starting, it was also the same time I closed down my own business. This project was in my home town of Shepparton, Victoria.

Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH). $830MProcurement Type: EPC Contract (Version was Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP))Position: Senior Contract AdministratorThe project involved the construction of a 12 storey hospital, with an additional four levels ofunderground parking. Next to this building was the QCH Energy Plant (QCHEP), a two storeybuilding with two basement levels, which houses the main services that will run the QCHbuilding.My role as a senior contract administrator on the QCHEP project had me working within a teamthat included two design managers, one site manager and a project manager.

Victorian Desalination Project. $3.5BProcurement Type: PPP – EPCM Contract Type (Fixed Price)Position: Senior Project EngineerA joint venture with Degremont, Thiess was contracted to the AquaSure consortium to design,construct and then maintain Australia’s largest desalination plant and associated marine tunnelsand pipeline/power supply to produce 150 billion litres of drinking water each year.My role had me working within the infrastructure/building team on site at the DesalinationPlant in Wonthaggi, Victoria. I commenced within the main design team at our head office,providing constructability input to designs and services specifications (red lining drawings andspecifications), creating construction specifications (with scopes of works), participating insafety in design reviews/workshops and ensuring high levels of quality were maintained in thedesign/specifications due to the ongoing maintenance requirements to the company.Once design was well progressed I moved to site and worked within the team responsible forbuilding the main Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Administration Buildings. Once works hadprogressed out of the ground I was responsible for delivering the 38,000m2 green roof systemand its roof system below, being Ortech based.
