I will be there from the beginning to the end of treatment as well as surveillance for patients affected with bowel cancer as a main resource to help them navigate the private healthcare system. Graduated with Bachelor of Behavioural Studies and Nursing from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and subsequently trained at the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital (RBWH). Completed a Grad. Cert in Cancer Nursing from QUT and currently completing Grad. Diploma in Cancer Nursing from UTAS. I have been working within the Oncology/Haematology specialty for over 9years in various nursing roles as well as Apheresis. I continuously to work in the clinical setting as well as recently finishing my role in early May as the Tasmanian Teletrial Coordinator for the Australian Teletrial Program. As the Tasmanian Teletrial Coordinator, I was passionate about increasing the reach of clinical trials to the rural and remote communities - especially in the Oncology/Haematology setting - to allow for equitable access to alternative therapies closer to home.
