Highly skilled, compassionate, empathetic solution orientated medical professional dedicated to assisting individuals, couples, and families develop effective strategies to address adversity within their lives. I have experience within the counselling areas of: addictions, child and adolescent behaviour, domestic violence, depression and anxiety, marriage and relationships, and trauma counselling and therapy. My practice philosophy assists clients’ examine their ways of being and communicating with the world through the lens that we all experience physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual aspects of life. I emphasis to clients the importance of connecting: thoughts, emotions, and body sensations as a means to assist them in developing personal mental wellness. I use psychotherapy, dialectical behavioural counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy, and emotional tracking and sensation recognition techniques within my practice. I received formal training within the field of counselling and therapy from the Saint Mary’s University, University of Calgary, and Canadian Foundation for Trauma Research and Education. I also have 8 years of professional experience to draw from to inform my practice.
