My role involved managing large commercial construction projects from development to completion. Staff and sub contractor management, transport coordination, plant and stock management, OHS compliance and workplace safety, and bump in bump out. Two of the larger projects I have been involved in are the Raven Hall Prison Project with John Holland and the Australian Grand Prix Elevated Platform and Structural Towers Project for the Australian Grand Prix Corporation.

As a Commercial Scaffolder / Leading Hand / Project Manager I was responsible for providing staff and scaffolding services for some of Victorias leading construction projects. Managing staff, contractors, OHS compliance, stock control, managing work programs and practices were part of my daily role. This hand’s on position requires insight and planning for the smooth and safe construction and delivery of services on site.My role included monitoring and developing up to date Safe Work Practices (SWMS), developing work plans and schedules, communicating relevant information via Safety Committee and Tool Box meetings.Projects include: (Tiger Airways) Water Tower Demolition Melbourne AirPort(Porsche) Silo Demolition Melbourne City, (Australian Grand Prix Corp) Construction of Corporate Platforms, Camera Towers, Access Ramps, Directional Signage Towers,(Footscray Plaza Redevelopment) Complete construction support service, numerous birdcages, loading bays to 30 meters, building wrap,(Regional Rail Link) Access towers, (Melbourne Airport) Service Tunnel project, access tower and civil works support.

Kew

My role as Club Manager at Methodist Ladies College (MLC) involved overseeing the development and deployment of over 185 sporting programs on a weekly basis, and the management of eight permanent and 70+ part time/casual coaches, administration and medical staff. I implemented the new Federal Employment Award, developed a new club-wide financial reporting system, auditing and standardising club merchandise, uniforms and clothing lines, and a substantial database system audit to develop a new product for data management. I was responsible for a large annual budget.My role also involved liaising with state and national sporting bodies, sponsors, equipment providers, technology providers, media interests, college management, college staff, and parents.

As Recreation Services Coordinator with the City of Monash I was involved in the delivery of a portfolio of recreation services and projects including the Sporting Facility Development Program, the Club Development Program, lease, licence and contract management, facilities and resource allocation, project management, and the implementation of the Recreation Services Strategy. My technical knowledge in project management and practical trades, and my broad vision of sport in general, provided me with an extraordinary opportunity to develop sport and facilities within the city.

As Clubs and Sport Development Coordinator at Monash University my role spanned six campuses. I was responsible for the development of 70 sporting clubs with over 6,000 members. I was responsible for promotional activities, sponsorship and the delivery of a $400k budget. A major part of my role was in developing operational policy, while resolving conflicts and aiding as a mentor for over 50 of the club committees.

As Recreation Officer/Team Swinburne Coordinator I was responsible for the marketing, promotion and facilitation of Swinburne University’s sporting teams, recreational activities and events spanning five campuses. I was responsible for the successful coordination of the University’s state and national sporting teams and managed the transport and logistics for these teams.

Hamilton Island - Whitsunday Islands

As Recreation, Sport and Entertainment Coordinator on Hamilton Island I undertook a 24-hour, 5-star service role. I managed a 15-hour/7-day per week recreation and entertainment program, including sporting and leisure activities for guests, and while coordinating the operations of two poolside bars I successfully developed a wet weather alternative program for up to 3,000 guests.My role included daily guest liaison, conflict management, event development and management, corporate fitness activities, conference servicing, and convention development programs.
