Throughout the course of my career, I have been in the business of protecting people. This has evolved from answering calls for service as a law enforcement officer and investigating allegations of police misconduct as a detective with the Baltimore City Police Dept, to protecting world leaders and investigating complex electronic crimes cases with U.S. Secret Service.Since my transition to the private sector, I have put the days of arrests, search warrants, and undercover work behind me. I have now taken the knowledge and experience I acquired in the public sector along with the abuse-fighting Trust & Safety teams I've led at LinkedIn and Google am applying them to my current role as the Head of Incident Management at Fastly, helping to ensure that incidents have minimal impact to our customers and the company. I don't know where my career path will ultimately take me, but I am certain that it will involve protecting people.
