Role and responsibility:• Suggesting design changes of seat surfaces to meet H-point, Torso Angle and Comfort targets and participating in technical discussions.• To find opportunities for efficiency improvement in current CAE process.• New CAE method development.• Technically guiding a team of 8 members (4-Direct,4-Suppliers) working on seat comfort projects.• Managing the work load of the team along with manager, interacting with regional CAE teams on program updates and deliverables.• Managing supplier work load • Single Point of contact handling multiple project deliverables for various General Motors regions (North America, Korea, Europe, Brazil) in parallel.• SME for CAE seat comfort in India and Member of GM seat comfort Global focus group.• Good understanding of seat comfort development process during vehicle development cycle.• Application of CAE at the early stage of seat development to reduce cost.• Fine knowledge of key CAE seat comfort softwares like PAM-COMFORT and CASIMIR.• CAE seat H-Point and Torso angle prediction and suggesting modifications to seat trim outline to meet the H-Point and Torso angle design targets and report generation.• CAE static seat comfort prediction by analyzing the pressure map and root causing the issue and report generation for discussion to improve comfort.• Ability to link the subjective seat assessment feedback from seat rides to CAE assessments to improve seat comfort.• Insight in to the aspects of human anthropometry and it's impact on the seat comfort perception.• Fair know how of Ergonomics tool Ramsis for occupant posture generation and occupant accommodation.• Experienced in CAE method development for unique simulation challenges.• CAE seat comfort modeling procedure development and efficiency improvement initiatives.• Knowledge of PU foam material testing and ASTM foam testing and DIN3386-1 standard.
